This one’s my favorite. I say the darnedest things when I lack sleep. Usually they come out as Freudian slips. They haunt me years later if I say something really embarrassing. This one just makes me chuckle. The strip itself speaks for itself so it doesn’t need much explaining.
What I love about this strip is that Mimie and I are on the same page right away. There was no misinterpretation of characters, settings, and the like. Attractive customer with noticeable assets buys stuff, Regular Vince does his thing, hijinx ensue. Perfect, simple, rinse and repeat. I also love the little details Mimie puts in the comic. If you haven’t noticed yet, check the register price lights. There are some subliminal messages in there.
Future comics will introduce more of Regular Vince’s communication with attractive customers with disastrous results. This one pretty much highlights what most of them will look and sound like. It really has a lot to do with “milk bags”.
Also the lack of sleep bit, more stories in the future will involve Regular Vince’s insomnia. As most night shifts go, the funniest and also the most frustrating stories involve sleep deprivation. Watch out for those.
Just for the record, Regular Vince is a “Milk Bags” kinda guy. He appreciates “Hot Buns” but he’s more of a dairy aficionado than a bakery type of dude. Fats over carbs.
